Energy-Efficient Construction Boom in Great Britain

Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: The next generation of energy efficient apprentices
Along with the rest of England, Cambrideshire is in the midst of a building boom. Over 100,000 new homes are expected to be built within the next decade. Most of them traditional brick buildings - cheap to build but expensive to heat.
As the globe's temperature continues to rise so to do energy prices. In the past, energy efficiency in the construction industry has been dismissed as an unprofitable idea. But the Smart Life Centre in Cambridgeshire, together with partners in Hamburg, Germany and Malmö, Sweden are trying to change that, by training a new generation of builders in modern, energy-efficient construction.
