From Linz am Rhein to Sayn – Hiking the Rheinsteig Trail
Federal State North Rhine-Westphalia
"Why is it so beautiful along the Rhein?" goes the old folks song. The Rheinsteig gives a fascinating answer.
From Bonn to Koblenz, the Rheinsteig winds 320 kilometers along the Rhein river, offering fantastic views, a good work-out and a wide array of cultural attractions. We begin with the first 20 kilometer leg of the journey from Linz to Leutesdorf. A palace, a butterfly garden and Roman ruins await us on this river walk.
