The Panther is out and about on the Asparagus Field
Asparagus is becoming more and more popular. The area planted with the crop has grown sixty percent in the last ten years. But asparagus farmers are facing more and more problems. They cannot find enough workers at harvest time. Now a harvester called the Panther could provide the solution.
The manufacturer is a supplier to the car industry. It plans to start production of the panther next year. Automated agricultural equipment is set to be an important growth area in the future. Now all that remains to do is convince the farmers. An asparagus panther can replace six workers, but costs around 180,000 euros.
