The world’s first robotic filling attendant has just been installed at a service station in the Netherlands. With the ‘Tankpitstop’, drivers no longer have to leave the car to fill ‘er up. A camera eye for locating the gas tank cover and a mechanical arm allow the robot to pump gas all on its own. It can even determine the right kind of fuel for specific makes of car.
