The City Montessori School in Lucknow, India, has already won several international prizes for peace education. Global thinking and tolerance are important parts of the curriculum.
The school project was started in 1959 with only five pupils. Today, more than 30,000 children attend the school. The school is run by it´s founder, Jagdesh Gandhi. Together with his wife, he has the dream to help build a more peaceful world through education. And his goal is to instill in his pupils values like equality and mutual respect regardless of gender, race and nationality. The school has a good reputation, and the students come from many different backgrounds and religions.
