DW-TV NORTH AMERICA

Deutsche Welle’s global television broadcaster DW-TV is the news and information channel from Germany. DW-TV will keep you up to date on what’s happening in Germany and Europe.

DW-TV NORTH AMERICA broadcasts 12 hours of German-language programming and 12 hours of English-language programming daily.

Every hour, on the hour - the JOURNAL with the latest news, European markets data, the In-Depth segment and the weather report.

Also on DW-TV NORTH AMERICA: magazines focusing on news & current affairs, business & science, entertainment, lifestyle & the arts, auto & sports as well as talk shows, documentaries and reportages – well-researched, well-shot, and well-told.

60 minutes of talk television daily as well as 30 minutes of current affairs magazines and other programs from German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF. Anne Will and Maybrit Illner discuss the hot-button issues with leading politicians. "Markus Lanz," "Beckmann," and "Menschen bei Maischberger" talk to celebrity guests about the private person behind the news.

On the weekend, there’s more focus on kids programming with a half-hour of fun and games for younger viewers, including "Siebenstein" and "Wissen macht Ah!".

DW-TV NORTH AMERICA can be received via the AMC-1 satellite. In the USA it is available via the Pay-TV satellite package offered by Echostar/Dish Network. It can also in the cable package of Time Warner, Comcast and Verizon. In Canada, the channel is available country-wide on Bell ExpressVU satellite television.
