Deutsche Welle Television Training Centre (DW-TTC)
DW-TTC in Berlin provides advanced training and consulting to partner organisations in developing countries and in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe
In courses and seminars tailored to the specific requirements of our partner organisations, the Centre provides television journalists, programme editors, managers and technical personnel with the opportunity to
- expand their professional knowledge and skills
- gain new perspectives and experiences and
- establish contact with colleagues in other countries.
The DW-TTC aims to raise awareness of the complex role television plays in a rapidly changing media environment. The Centre provides an impetus for working with new technologies and new programme concepts, and sensitises participants to the opportunities and challenges of television of the future.
The DW-TTC is part of the DW-AKADEMIE but is primarily funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The German Foreign Office also provides funding.
In projects all over the world, the DW-TTC cooperates closely with regional institutes and international organisations. The Centre also maintains close contacts with German and international media and cultural organisations.
