What is rebroadcasting?
Rebroadcasting essentially means a "second-hand" transmission.
For DW specifically this means partner stations around the world re-use an original DW broadcast, either in part or in its entirety, on their own airwaves. This goes for DW-TV as well as DW-RADIO programming in German and in all other DW languages.
Rebroadcasting is an important method of distribution. It increases the technical range and opens up additional opportunities to attract new listeners or viewers.
The re-use of DW programmes is generally free of charge, but does require a contractual agreement. These can be negotiated with the DW Distribution department (see: Business & Sales).
