In this part of our series on the Rheinsteig, the hiking trail that follows the Rhein river brings us to the city of Koblenz and some of its artistic oddities.
From there, the braver of our hikers opt for some serious climbing up Ruppert's Gorge near Lahnstein to Marksburg castle for a fascinating view of the Rhine Valley at the point where the Lahn and Rhein rivers converge. Some may be shocked at what culinary specialty is listed on the castle's menu! Come take a look for yourself.
