Strikers Switch Into High Gear With Bike Production
Workers in a bicycle factory in the central German state of Thüringen took on the might of the investment group Lonestar last autumn and pulled off a surprise victory!
Without Lonestar’s financial backing, 130 workers on strike, produced around 2,000 bikes in their occupied plant and sold their “strike bikes” around the world.
Since the beginning of May, the factory has been making regular bicycles again. Yet 21 former employees have gone it alone and are looking for Strike Bikes niche in the market.
