It is never a pleasure to squeeze into a tight parking spot, but park assist systems can certainly make the job a lot easier. The Toyota Prius comes with a standard system on board that uses a rear camera. The €5000 system from Mercedes scores points for its ability to recognize parking spaces, but the steering is still left to the driver. The VW Touran takes advantage of ultrasound to find spots as it drives past.
