G8 Leaders Set Game Plan to Tackle Oil, Food and Climate Crises
As oil prices continue to soar and with the rising cost of food worldwide, the leaders of the Group of Seven industrialized nations, plus Russia, are meeting in Japan, where they're attempting to come up with solutions.
While this year's G8 Summit agenda has been dominated by the global crisis of record high oil and food prices, other issues are also on the discussion table.
As they meet this year on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, the group of eight leaders from the world's most powerful nations are also trying to deal with the issues of climate change, aid to Africa and the impact of the two emerging Asian economies, China and India, on the world economy.
