Life as a Young Turkish Woman

Turkey is a country with a high Muslim population. Many of the women there are often subjected to stereotypes when it comes to their religion and the wearing of headscarves. But how much of it is true?

Muslim women are often thought to be controlled and dominated by their fathers or husbands. They are frequently seen as females without rights – but of course that's just one side of the story.
