Sankt Peter-Ording is a North Sea spa at the western tip of the Eiderstedt peninsular in Schleswig-Holstein. According to hotel bed occupancy, it's Germany's biggest seaside resort. One of its trademarks are the 5-meter pile dwellings at the bathing areas along its 12 kilometers of beach. They give people like local lifeguard Heinz Hecke an unrestricted view of the sea and the shore. So we thought he'd be the ideal person to show us around the town.
