Protest at the Ballot Box - The Repercussions of the Free Voters' Electoral Triumph
The Free Voters are now the third biggest group in the Bavaria state parliament after spectacularly winning over 10 percent of the vote in the recent elections, and they may even be invited to join a coalition. The group have profited from disaffected CSU voters. A further advantage is their non-party status, enabling them to address issues that are taboo for their rivals. Now their chairman Hubert Aiwanger is planning to expand nationwide.
