The Leipzig Book Fair 2010

The Leipzig Book Fair is first and foremost about reading. It's a forum where readers can get to know new authors and new books; less a trade fair and more a literary festival.

This year, the Leipzig Book Fair is focusing on young readers and authors. Up-and-coming writers can present their work at a variety of events at the fair. More than a quarter of the fair's floor space has been devoted to young readers and one in four publishing houses attending deal with books for children and young people, educational publications and comics. Manga aficionados will be out in force: cosplayers who dress up as their favorite figure from a comic or cartoon.
