Russia celebrates Soviet-style military parade

For the first time in 18 years Russia is showing off its heavy weaponry in a Soviet-style military parade on Moscow's Red Square. The ceremony to celebrate World War Two Victory Day is being attended by Russia's new president Dmitry Medvedev and his predecessor, Vladimir Putin, who is now prime minister. Four Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles, minus their nuclear warheads, will be lined up in the parade along with tanks, armoured personnel carriers and anti-aircraft rocket systems. There will also be a fly-by of military helicopters, fighter jets and bombers.
