Palestinian bulldozer driver killed after attack

Israeli police say a Palestinian bulldozer driver has been shot dead in Jerusalem after he rammed his vehicle into cars, injuring more than a dozen people. The attack near the landmark King David Hotel in central Jerusalem was the second act of its kind this month. On July 2, a Palestinian man killed three people and wounded 30 others when he rammed a bulldozer into a bus and cars on a busy Jerusalem street before being shot dead. The incident coincides with peace talks between Israeli President Shimon Peres and his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas. At a joint press conference, the two leaders called for the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit who was abducted by Hamas two years ago.
