Mistaken for Monet

Restorers at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne discovered that a painting in their collection, "On the Banks of the Seine by Port Villez" by Claude Monet, was a forgery. Museum officials said they feel that the best way to fight forgery is to put it on display so the painting, which the museum acquired in 1954, went on display on Friday, Feb. 29.
