Headwinds Help Out

German inventor Gustav Winkler introduced the answer to bikers' prayers on Friday, Aug. 8. The scientist presented a two-meter (6.6-foot) wheel that helps cyclists move by using headwinds to turn a turbine that pushes the bike forward. The wheel, which is mounted on the front of a bike, is an improvement on a version of the first-ever headwind bike that Winkler developed in 1992. Bildunterschrift:
