There is More to Cologne Than Carnival

The Mercedes-Benz Championship is taking place at the Gut Lärchenhof Golf Club in Cologne from Sept. 11 - 14, 2008. Seventy-five players from the European Tour and the top 75 of the Official World Rankings are participating in the event. The Mercedes-Benz Championship has a hugely impressive roll of honor including seven major champions, who between them have won 17 major championships. They are: Sandy Lyle (1987), Jose Maria Olazabal (1988), Bernhard Langer (1989, 1991, 1997 and 2001), Seve Ballasteros (1994), Michael Campbell (2000), Padraig Harrington (2004) and Retief Goosen (2005).
