A native of California, Kate studied Piano Performance at Indiana University. After working in Bonn for two years, she returned to the US to brave horrible and fantastic New York City. There she also earned a masters degree from Columbia University in Modern European Studies with an emphasis in German-Polish cultural relations. Now back in Bonn, Kate is a fan of learning foreign languages, music of all kinds, and people-watching in cafes. She joined DW-WORLD.DE in June 2006.
