The Magic Hippie Trail - On the Hippie Trail to Kabul

This documentary series follows the Magic Hippie Trail of the sixties and seeks to revive and return to the ideals of the rucksack hippies forty years later. From Ibiza to Morocco, from Istanbul to Kathmandu, from Kabul to Goa the flower children sought to expand their consciousness. We accompany veterans of the backpacker scene, retracing their steps. In Part Three we travel to Kabul with Tony Wheeler, the founder of the global travel publisher Lonely Planet. We ask him why he’s writing a travel guide to Afghanistan again.
